Student’s Genitals Allegedly Injured by Classmates in Kodagu Boarding School

Madikeri: In a disturbing incident from Sampaje, a border village in Kodagu district, a boy studying in a residential school has allegedly suffered injuries to his genitals, reportedly caused by his classmates. 

The boy has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru by his parents after experiencing difficulty in urinating. According to a report by Praja Vani, the boy's parents allege that his classmates were responsible for the injury. Backward Classes Welfare Department District Officer Kavitha confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the matter. 

Kavitha stated, in the Praja Vani report, “I visited the hospital and that the boy is recovering and in better health. His parents had taken him home last Sunday, and after noticing his difficulty in urination, they admitted him to the hospital. We have now directed the hostel warden and officials to investigate the incident thoroughly.”

Meanwhile, a police official, as quoted by Praja Vani, mentioned that while allegations have been made that one of the boy's classmates is responsible for the injury, no formal complaint has been filed as of yet.
