Bengaluru: A 46-year-old man from Kodagu district was found dead inside a parked luxury car in Bengaluru’s Koramangala area on Sunday morning, around 400 metres from the local police station.

The deceased has been identified as Salim Akbar, a native of Kodagu district.

According to the police, residents alerted the control room at around 8 a.m. after noticing a man seated unresponsive inside a vehicle parked in Koramangala’s 8th Block. A police team reached the spot and found Akbar dead inside the car.

CCTV footage from the area showed the vehicle arriving and stopping in front of Sagar Fast Food at around 2.30 a.m.

Preliminary investigation suggests that Akbar may have died due to sudden health complications. Police said they have not found any evidence of foul play so far.

However, the exact cause of death will be established after the post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.

The Koramangala police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) and informed Akbar’s family. Further investigation is under way.
