Siddapura: Kodagu is gearing up to host the much-anticipated 'Robusta 2024' car rally, set to take place at the Ammathi High School grounds from November 22 to 24.
The rally, organised under the aegis of the Blue Band FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC), is being conducted in collaboration with Robusta Sports and Adventure Academy.
This high-octane event marks the fifth round of the Blue Band FMSCI INRC 4W-2024 and is expected to draw motorsport enthusiasts from across the nation. With over 61 participants confirmed, the rally will see competitors from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Goa, Chandigarh, West Bengal, and Delhi.
Speaking about the event, Mahesh Appaiah, director of Robusta Sports and Adventure Academy, said, “Robusta 2024 is more than just a rally; it’s a celebration of speed, skill, and the adventurous spirit that Kodagu is known for. We are proud to bring this prestigious event to our district and showcase our scenic yet challenging terrains to motorsport aficionados.”
The rally will take participants through rugged terrains, testing their driving skills and endurance. With the picturesque backdrop of Kodagu also known as Coorg, the event promises an electrifying mix of competition and scenic beauty, making it a must-watch for locals and visitors alike.
The rally not only highlights Kodagu’s potential as a motorsport destination but also aims to promote adventure tourism in the region. All eyes are now on the Ammathi grounds as the engines roar to life this weekend.
