Virajpet: Virajpet MLA Ajjikuttira S Ponnanna stated that over the past seven months, the Karnataka government has earmarked Rs 204 crores for various developmental projects in the Virajpet assembly constituency.
Mr. Ponnanna, who is also the legal advisor to the Karnataka Chief Minister, conducted a press conference on Tuesday ahead of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's visit to Kodagu on January 25. The visit is scheduled to launch various infrastructure projects in the district.
Around 10 a.m., Mr. Siddaramaiah is expected to arrive at the Coorg Golf Links helipad in Virajpet taluk. Following his arrival, he plans to visit the residence of Mr. Ponnanna in Panjarapete, Virajpet town. Subsequently, at approximately 10:30 a.m, he will address a public meeting in Virajpet.
After programmes in Virajpet Mr. Siddaramaiah will head to Madikeri to inaugurate the newly constructed office building of the Superintendent of Police. At 2:30 p.m., the Chief Minister is scheduled to launch several development projects during the event. Additionally, he will address a public meeting in Madikeri.
In addition, Mr. Siddaramaiah is set to inaugurate a KSRTC depot in Kushalnagar and initiate several development projects. The heads of different departments in Kodagu have provided information about the programs planned in their respective domains for launch. The launch of Indira canteens is also part of the scheduled events.
