Snake Awareness Workshop At Wildlife Veterinary Research Institute, Kushalnagar, Kodagu

The initiative aims to educate the public, particularly farmers, about snake safety.

Kushalnagar: Kushalnagar in Kodagu will host a one-day snake awareness training programme on September 11 at the Wildlife Veterinary Research Institute in Dodda Aluvara village.

According to a report in PV, the workshop will focus on identifying poisonous snakes and creating awareness about precautionary measures to be taken in case of encounters. The initiative aims to educate the public, particularly farmers, about snake safety, first aid, and the importance of coexisting with reptiles.

The institute has said that the programme will be useful for people living in rural and semi-rural areas, where incidents of snakebites are more common. Farmers and residents are expected to benefit from expert guidance during the training.
