Madikeri Embraced by Mist After Long Summer

Madikeri: After enduring many months of scorching sun and high temperatures, Madikeri in Kodagu, often referred to as the "Kashmir of Karnataka" and the "City of Fog," is now enveloped in dense mist. The recent spell of rain has transformed the landscape, offering a refreshing respite from the relentless heat and attracting tourists to its enchanting allure.

In May, the district recorded soaring temperatures with a maximum of 35 to 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. However, the recent rains have brought significant relief, with current temperatures dropping to a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20.06 degrees Celsius.

The mist-covered hills and lush greenery have once again made Madikeri a picturesque destination, reminiscent of its nickname. Tourists are flocking to the area to experience the serene beauty and cool climate, a stark contrast to the intense heat earlier in the month.

This change in weather not only brings a breath of fresh air to the residents but also promises a boost to the local economy as tourism picks up.
