KSRTC to Operate Special Dasara Tour Packages from Madikeri
Bengaluru/Madikeri: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate special one-day tour packages from Madikeri from October 11 to 26 as part of Madikeri Dasara-2026, offering tourists an opportunity to visit prominent temples, waterfalls, scenic attractions and other destinations across Kodagu.
According to a KSRTC press release, two packages — Kaveri Darshan and Kodagina Sobagu — have been planned to facilitate sightseeing for tourists visiting Madikeri during the Dasara festival and holiday period.
The Kaveri Darshan package will cover Omkareshwara Temple, Iguthappa Temple, Bhagamandala Temple, Talacauvery Temple, Abbey Falls and Raja's Seat before returning to the Madikeri bus stand.
The Kodagina Sobagu package will cover Omkareshwara Temple, Harangi Reservoir or an elephant camp, the Golden Temple at Bylakuppe, Kaveri Nisargadhama, a coffee plantation, Abbey Falls and Raja's Seat, with the journey concluding at the Madikeri bus stand.
The fare for each package has been fixed at ₹400 for adults and ₹300 for children.
Both services will depart from Madikeri in the morning and return to the town after covering the destinations included in the respective itineraries.
The special services are intended to cater to tourists visiting Madikeri from different parts of Karnataka and other regions during the festive season.
The initiative is expected to provide convenient transport for visitors wishing to explore Kodagu's religious sites, natural attractions and coffee plantations without having to arrange separate transport for each destination.
KSRTC said the package tours would operate throughout the specified period, from October 11 to 26, as part of its special transport arrangements for Madikeri Dasara-2026 and the Dasara holidays.
