Kodava Racing Makes Strong National Debut at Rally of Coimbatore
Coimbatore(Tamil Nadu): Kodava Racing has made its national debut after registering as a team entrant with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) for the 2026–27 season and entering the Blueband Sports FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC), putting Kodagu on the national rallying map.
The team delivered an impressive performance at the Rally of Coimbatore, recording multiple podium finishes across categories.
In the Gypsy Challenge, Mekerira Kariappa and Abhinav Ganapathy secured first place, while Avin Nanjappa and Abhilash Sudhindra finished second. Chetan Chengappa and Sujith Chengappa secured third place, with Kavan Kariappa and Gaurav Aiyappa finishing sixth. Cheppudira Machaiah also won the Tuner’s Trophy in the Gypsy category.
In the Classic Challenge, Lavan Poonacha MP and Ruthwick BH secured first place.
In INRC 3T, Kokkengada Darshan Nachappa and Madapanda Kushalappa finished fifth, while Baljinder Singh Dhillon and Goutham CP secured sixth place.
Kodava Racing acknowledged the support of its partners, with Kalimada Kushalappa of BMC Air Filters supporting the team as its Performance Partner and Kokken Robotics serving as its Technology and Digital Partner.
The third round of the championship, the Robusta Rally, will be held in Coorg from November 20 to 22, 2026, across the Tata Coffee estates. More Kodava Racing drivers are expected to participate as the team seeks to accumulate valuable points towards the Team Championship.
