Alemada Okka to Host Inter-Kodava Thok Namme in Ponnampet on October 10, 11

Ponnampet: Alemada Okka will organise the Inter-Kodava Thok Namme 2026 at Ponnampet on October 10 and 11, bringing together members of the Kodava community for the traditional sporting event.

The organisers said registration for the event has commenced and eligible participants can register until September 15, 2026.

Any Kodava family comprising two members is eligible to participate. A maximum of four teams from each family can take part in the competition. The event will feature competitions in the 12-bore and .22 categories.

The organisers have announced a total cash prize of ₹2 lakh for the winners and other participants.

Alemada Okka in a release has appealed to members of the Kodava community to make use of the opportunity and participate in the event.

The Inter-Kodava Thok Namme is being organised as a community sporting event aimed at bringing Kodava families together while promoting participation in the traditional sport.

Interested participants have been requested to complete their registration before the September 15 deadline.
