Kodagu to Experience Light Rain and Gusty Winds This Week, Says IMD – Check the Seven-Day Forecast

Synoptic Features for Karnataka:

A north-south trough extends from north Madhya Maharashtra to north Kerala across interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level. This system is expected to influence weather conditions across Karnataka, including Kodagu, over the next few days.

Forecast for Kodagu (27th March – 2nd April 2025)

• 27th March: Light rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Kodagu, accompanied by gusty winds of 30-40 kmph.

• 28th March: Similar conditions persist with isolated light rain/thundershowers. Gusty winds may continue in parts of South Interior Karnataka.

• 29th March: Scattered showers expected across Kodagu along with gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph in parts of North Interior Karnataka.

• 30th March: Light rain or thundershowers at isolated locations, with dry weather likely in surrounding regions.

• 31st March: No significant change in weather, with occasional showers possible in Kodagu and surrounding districts.

• 1st April: Isolated light rain is expected, continuing the trend of scattered precipitation in parts of South Interior Karnataka.

• 2nd April: Light rain is likely at a few locations in Kodagu, extending into Mysuru and other nearby districts.

  
  

Temperature Conditions in Kodagu

• Minimum Temperature: Ranging between 18-20°C in Madikeri and surrounding areas.

• Maximum Temperature: Expected to be between 31-34°C.

• No significant temperature fluctuations are predicted, though a slight increase in maximum temperatures (by 2-3°C) may occur over the next five days.

  
  

General Outlook

Kodagu will experience mild rain over the week, with occasional gusty winds. No extreme weather conditions are expected, though the wind speed may increase slightly during isolated thunderstorms. Residents and travellers should be prepared for sporadic showers, especially in the evenings.
