Kodagu Police Destroy Drugs Worth Over ₹20 Lakh Seized in 2026 Cases

The narcotics were disposed of at the GIBS facility in Mysuru in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures and guidelines governing the destruction of seized drugs.

Mysuru: The Kodagu District Police on Thursday destroyed narcotic substances worth ₹20.20 lakh that had been seized in various criminal cases registered during 2026. The destroyed contraband included approximately 36.807 kg of ganja (cannabis) and 18 grams of MDMA.

The narcotics were disposed of at the GIBS facility in Mysuru in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures and guidelines governing the destruction of seized drugs.

The destruction of the seized contraband forms part of the police department's efforts to prevent the recirculation of narcotic substances and strengthen the fight against drug trafficking and abuse in the district.
