Kodagu Native IPS officer Ayyappa Appointed Joint Director at Bureau of Civil Aviation Security

Bengaluru: Captain Ayyappa M.A, an IPS officer and native of Kodagu, has been appointed as the Joint Director at the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, according to a report published by newsdeskkannada.com. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security is an attached office of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, responsible for ensuring the security of civil aviation in the country.



Captain Ayyappa, a distinguished ex-serviceman, previously was serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Karnataka Lokayukta. Hailing from Gonikoppa in Virajpet taluk of Kodagu district and belonging to the Malachira family, he has had a commendable career. He served the Indian Army as a Short Service Commissioned Officer for seven years before joining the Karnataka State Police force as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP) in 2012.


Throughout his career, Ayyappa has served in various capacities, including postings in Tumakuru, Bhatkal, Mysuru and several other locations, as well as in the State Intelligence in Bengaluru.
