Bengaluru: The Coffee Board of India has announced the opening of applications for its Post Graduate Diploma in Coffee Quality Management (PGDCQM) for the academic year 2024-25. This specialized course is designed to address the growing demand within the Indian coffee industry for trained professionals who possess the specific knowledge and skills necessary to excel as coffee tasters.
In a recent statement, the Coffee Board highlighted the critical role that this diploma course plays in ensuring the continued growth and success of India’s coffee sector. The course curriculum is comprehensive, covering all essential aspects of coffee production and quality control.
The content includes topics such as coffee cultivation practices, post-harvest management, coffee quality evaluation, roasting and brewing techniques, marketing and trade, and quality assurance systems. The course is structured to include both theoretical and practical sessions, providing students with a well-rounded education in coffee quality management.
The duration of the PGDCQM course is 12 months, divided into three trimesters. The entire course is conducted in English.
