Virajpet: Ajjikuttira S Ponnanna, the legal advisor to the Chief Minister of Karnataka and Virajpet MLA, has recently published a white paper detailing his achievements. He announced that over the past 10 months, he successfully secured funds totaling Rs 251.97 crores from various state government departments for the development of the Virajpet Constituency.
"Since the day I won the elections until now, numerous developmental projects have been initiated in 58 Gram Panchayats and 1 town municipality within the constituency. Some of these projects have already been completed, while others are currently underway," said Mr. Ponnanna.
He also mentioned that over the past 10 months, he has traveled 2,500 kilometers throughout the Kodagu district to hear people's grievances, provide solutions and take up developmental works in the constituency.

Enumerating the array of works executed in the constituency, Mr. Ponnanna revealed that developmental projects worth Rs 2 crore have been initiated in Bhagamandala. Additionally, the flyover construction is nearing completion. Following the Lok Sabha elections, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will visit the site to inspect the progress, he added.
Mr. Ponnanna stated that he secured Rs 25 crores from the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department for various developmental works in the Virajpet constituency. Additionally, Rs 4 crores were allocated for temple development, Rs 3.80 crores for mosques, and Rs 2 crores for churches from the government.
Meanwhile, he mentioned that to permanently address the drinking water issue in Virajpet town, he has initiated a project worth Rs 58 crores.
