Virajpet native KL Sooraj secures 713th rank in UPSC civil services exam 2023

Mysuru: KL Sooraj, a resident of Virajpet in Kodagu district, achieved the 713th rank in the Union Public Service Commission's (UPSC) Civil Services Exam 2023. The results were announced on Tuesday, April 16.

Sooraj is the son of K.B. Lingaraj and Geetha Raj, who reside in Siddarthanagar, Mysuru city. Lingaraj serves as a Superintendent at the Customs Department, currently assigned to the GST Division in the area, while Geetha Raj is a homemaker.

Sooraj is currently employed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and is stationed at Kempegowda International Airport Limited in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. He attended JSS Public School in Siddarthanagar, Mysuru, and Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust Educational Institutions in Dakshina Kannada district. He holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysuru.
