Bengaluru: In a move to support the Kodava community, Team Kodavaame has revived its ‘Thand Bendu’ group, a platform designed specifically for matrimonial purposes.
The group, monitored by a team of dedicated volunteers, aims to serve the Kodava community by helping individuals find suitable matches without any expectations in return, according to a statement from Team Kodavaame.
The Kodava community, with its distinct cultural heritage rooted in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, has faced growing challenges in recent years regarding matrimony. With a population of around 1.25 lakh, the Kodavas are a small ethnic group, and the shrinking pool of eligible matches within the community has caused concern among many. Traditional avenues of matchmaking, such as family introductions and community gatherings, have become less frequent, making it increasingly difficult for individuals to find life partners.
Recognising this need, Team Kodavaame has taken the initiative to offer a modern solution while staying true to the values of the Kodava community. The group is being monitored to ensure that it serves its intended purpose efficiently and effectively, providing a safe and supportive environment for those seeking matrimonial connections.
“Kodavaame Thand Bendu group is exclusively created for the purpose of Kodava Matrimony. The sole intention of this group is to serve our Kodava community for matrimonial purposes without any expectations in return,” Team Kodavaame said in a statement.
