Bengaluru: Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has announced a rise in the cost of Nandini milk by ₹2, effective from Wednesday, June 26. The KMF stated that this adjustment is not a direct price increase but a necessary revision in the supply and pricing structure.

All variants of Nandini milk will be affected by this change, according to the official announcement made by KMF chairman Bhima Naik at a press conference held in Bengaluru. Additionally, the federation assured consumers that for every packet milk, an extra 50 ml of milk would be provided.

The latest increase will make Santrupti milk sachets the priciest in the KMF lineup, at ₹57 per litre. Samruddhi will follow at ₹53 per litre, with double toned milk remaining the most affordable at ₹43 per litre.

This marks the second price hike in under a year. Last year July, KMF raised prices by ₹3 per litre, though it had initially requested a ₹5 hike. The State Government approved the ₹3 increase.

This move comes in response to the escalating fuel prices in Karnataka, which have increased production and transportation costs.

KMF in the release states that even with the price increase, milk remains more affordable in Karnataka than in neighboring states.
