Light rain reported in the northern part of Kodagu district today

Napoklu: Light to moderate rain brought relief to residents of Kodagu district as parts of North Kodagu experienced rainfall on Sunday evening, April 7. The sudden downpour provided respite from the scorching heat prevailing in the region.

According to local residents, areas including Bhagamandala, Nelaji, Yemmamadu, Cherambane, and Kargunda witnessed rainfall, bringing a sense of relief to the residents. The rain, although moderate, was welcomed by the residents who had been enduring high temperatures from last few months.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier forecasted light rainfall for the region on April 6 and 7. The forecast suggested below-normal rainfall for south interior Karnataka, including Kodagu, while predicting above-normal rainfall for north interior Karnataka.

Meanwhile, the IMD has forecasted light rain in Kodagu from April 8th to April 13th.
