Kodava Baliya Namme 2025 to be held in Ammathi on March 29-30

Virajpet: Kodagu will witness a vibrant celebration of Kodava heritage with the Kodava Baliya Namme 2025, scheduled to take place on March 29 and 30 at the Ammathi Kodava Samaja.
Organised by the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy, the festival will showcase the rich traditions of the Kodava community through art, dance, and storytelling.
Announcing the event, Ajjinikanda Mahesh Nachaiah, President of the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy, described it as a tribute to the community’s deep-rooted traditions. “Kodava Baliya Namme 2025 is a celebration of our vibrant traditions through art, dance, and storytelling. Our roots, our pride, our legacy—be a part of this celebration that flows through generations,” he said.
The event is open to all, and those interested in participating must register before March 15, 2025. Alongside cultural performances, the academy will also host symposiums on various topics to engage the community in discussions about their heritage and contemporary issues.
