Madikeri: The picturesque town of Madikeri in Kodagu district recently witnessed a remarkable addition to its vibrant landscape with the unveiling of its first large-scale mural painting. Renowned mural artist Sneha Chakraborty, known for her captivating artwork, brought her talent to the streets of Madikeri, much to the delight of local residents and art enthusiasts.
Mural art, a form of public art that has gained popularity in India in recent years, has found a new expression through Sneha's intricate and meaningful creations. Her latest mural in Madikeri not only adds to the town's aesthetic appeal but also carries a powerful message, as it is part of a mental health awareness initiative led by the Mind & Matter Charitable Trust.

Expressing her excitement about this project, Sneha shared her journey on Instagram, stating, "I have been planning on traveling and painting on the streets for two years now, but my commercial projects were all lined up and I waited for 2024 to be the start of this dream! My first stop had to be Madikeri!"
Collaborating with the Mind & Matter Charitable Trust, Sneha spent six days creating the mural, with the support of Deepika Appaiah, the founder of the NGO, and Punacha. Deepika, thrilled by Sneha's idea, was more than eager to welcome the artist to her hometown and collaborate on this meaningful project.
In her Instagram post, Sneha encouraged people to visit the mural in Madikeri, saying, "Whenever you plan on traveling to Coorg, make sure you visit this Mural and click a lot of pictures! I have left a piece of me on that wall, and taking back a lot of love from the place."
