Heavy Rains: Holiday Declared for Schools and PU Colleges in Kodagu on June 28

Madikeri: In view of the continuous heavy rainfall lashing various parts of Kodagu district, the district administration has announced a holiday for all educational institutions on Saturday, June 28.

Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja issued an order stating that Anganwadis, government and private primary and high schools, as well as pre-university (PU) colleges across the district will remain closed as a precautionary measure. The decision was taken to ensure the safety of students and staff, considering the rain-related disruptions and possible risks such as waterlogging, landslides, and transportation issues in several parts of the hilly region.
