Cauvery Theerthodbhava at Talacauvery on October 17
Bhagamandala: The sacred Cauvery Theerthodbhava, marking the auspicious Tula Sankramana, will be held at Talacauvery in Kodagu district on October 17, with the holy water expected to emerge at 7.50 p.m.
The schedule for various religious programmes at the Sri Bhagandeshwara and Sri Talacauvery temples as part of the Cauvery Tula Sankramana Theerthodbhava 2026 festivities was announced following a meeting held at Bhagamandala under the chairmanship of Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna.
At the Sri Bhagandeshwara Temple, the ‘Pratyeka Akshi’ ritual will be held on September 27 at 8.45 a.m. The ‘Aajna Muhurtha’ will be performed on October 5 at 10.35 a.m.
On October 15, the ‘Akshaya Patre’ ritual will be held at 12.35 p.m., followed by a puja to the ‘Kanike Dabbis’ (donation boxes) at 6.03 p.m.
The main Theerthodbhava ritual will be held at Talacauvery on October 17 at 7.50 p.m., during the auspicious Mesha Lagna.
