An MP is not an authority on the subject. He is no one to decide the fate of us Codavas and Codava tribalism. He is neither a Constitutional expert nor an Anthropologist. How did he include non-tribal urbanised Talawaraa and Parivara in the ST list? Which yardstick has been applied for them? It’s only because of Political expediency. Now it is clear who engineered the ploy for jeopardising ethnographic study of Codavas. He polarised his entire community and instigated mutiny against the Codavas, a micro community.
Let him vacate his Lok Sabha seat and pave the way for the real opportunity deprived, patriotic Codavas to represent Coorg.
Only 2 Months are left for MP elections and therefore he has began hoodwinking. If he is really concerned, let him put the subject before the ensuing session of the Parliament (Which is the last Session of his tenure) about the special intangible Lok Sabha Constituency for Codavas on the lines of "Sangha", an invisible Constituency for the Buddhist Monks of Sikkim, which has been advocated by Codava National Council already. Thereby expressing / demonstrating your gratitude towards Codavas.
Such people believe that, with their gigantic demographic weight they can bully and swallow everything and anyone.
It is clear who conspired to erase Devaattparamb Codava Genocide Memorial site, who plotted the meddling of Codava holy Pilgrimage site, Tala Cauvery, who met the CM on 25 Jan 2024 with his fellow community members to oppose legitimate aspirations of Codavaland,who's mastermind injected venom to snatching away our Sacrament Gun rights?
Now it is clear that the Majoritarian community of the State, which is supposed to protect us, has taken on the mission to cleanse the Codava community ethnically, all with the help of this law maker.
They pretend to be the sole custodians of Codavas, they praise the beauty of Codava women, put Codava war heroes on a pedestal, speak highly about our Pan Bharath approach, all while backstabbing Codavas and trapping and fooling us. Taking advantage of and plotting against the politically naive Codavas is something they can never part with as it is who they are.
