Hudikeri: A lorry carrying fertilizer from Mysuru to Srimangala met with an accident on Tuesday, August 20, when two of its rear tires burst, causing the vehicle to overturn. The incident occurred at the 7th mile near Hudikeri
According to the police, the driver lost control of the lorry after the tires burst, leading the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn on the left side. Both the driver and the cleaner, who were on board at the time, escaped without injury.
The situation could have been far worse. Police officials pointed out that if the lorry had swerved to the right instead, it would have plunged into a deep ditch, potentially leading to a more serious accident.
Local residents were quick to respond to the incident. They rushed to the scene and provided assistance to the driver and cleaner, who were later taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary treatment.
The overturned lorry caused a temporary disruption in traffic, but authorities were quick to the scene to manage the situation. Efforts were made to clear the road and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
