Latest Coffee and Black Pepper Prices in Karnataka, Kodagu – Check Here

Madikeri: The Karnataka Planters’ Association (KPA) released the latest coffee and black pepper price update as of Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

As per the update, Robusta Parchment is priced between Rs. 22,200 and Rs. 22,900 per 50 kg, while Robusta Cherry is selling between Rs. 12,200 and Rs. 13,200 per 50 kg. Arabica Parchment, is priced between Rs. 26,500 and Rs. 27,200 per 50 kg, whereas Arabica Cherry is being traded between Rs. 15,200 and Rs. 17,000 per 50 kg. In addition to coffee, black pepper is priced at Rs. 730 per kg.

Karnataka remains the largest coffee-producing state in India, contributing over 70% of the country’s total coffee output. Kodagu, often referred to as the ‘coffee cup of India,’ plays a crucial role in the state’s production, accounting for nearly 40% of Karnataka’s total coffee yield. Chikkamagaluru and Hassan are also significant coffee-growing regions in the state.

Robusta and Arabica are the two primary coffee varieties grown in Karnataka. Robusta, known for its higher yield and resistance to diseases, is widely cultivated in Kodagu, while Chikkamagaluru is renowned for its premium Arabica coffee. Karnataka’s coffee is largely exported to international markets, including Europe and the United States, making it a vital contributor to the state’s economy.
