Five Men Arrested for Sexual Assault of Minor in Kodagu

Virajpet: In a shocking incident near the Karnataka-Kerala border close to Kutta, a gang of five men abducted two minor girls on Wednesday, July 10th. The assailants sexually assaulted one of the girls before she managed to escape and alert the authorities.

The other girl was fortunate to evade capture and sought help from nearby villagers. Acting swiftly on a tip-off, the police apprehended all five suspects involved in the heinous crime, according to a report in DH.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Navindra (24) and Akshay (27), both residents of Nathangala, and Rahul (21), Manu (25), and Sandeep (27) from Nadundana Colony in Tolpatti, Kerala. The police have registered cases against them.

According to the investigation, three of the suspects lured the two girls into their vehicle and drove them to a coffee plantation in Nathangala. There, the remaining two suspects joined them. One of the girls was sexually assaulted by the group, while the other managed to escape and inform the villagers.

As the assailants attempted to flee, the villagers intercepted their car. The suspects released the victim and fled the scene but were subsequently captured by the police.
