Coffee Board Invites Applications for Subsidies for Coffee Growers; Deadline August 30

Madikeri: The Coffee Board has invited applications from coffee growers seeking financial assistance under the Integrated Coffee Development Project (ICDP) for the 2026-27 financial year. The application process has commenced, with subsidies available for a range of plantation development and infrastructure activities across Karnataka's coffee-growing districts, including Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan.


Wide Range of Subsidies Available


Under the scheme, eligible coffee growers can avail financial assistance for coffee replanting and irrigation-related works such as the construction of ponds, open wells, ring wells and installation of drip irrigation systems. The scheme also provides support for the construction of coffee godowns, establishment of coffee curing yards and pulping units, and the purchase of agricultural machinery used in coffee cultivation.


Financial assistance is also available for purchasing eco-friendly pulpers, mechanical dryers and solar tunnel dryers to improve post-harvest processing and reduce environmental impact.


Eligibility and Application Deadline


Coffee growers planning to undertake developmental activities on their plantations are eligible to apply under the scheme. Growers owning coffee plantations of up to 25 hectares (around 62 acres) can submit applications.


The last date for submitting applications is August 30, 2026.


Documents Required


Applicants must submit a passport-size photograph, Aadhaar card, an active bank passbook, the 2026-27 RTC (Pahani) relating to the coffee plantation, khata extract, plantation sketch, quotation, project plan and cost estimate. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants must also submit a valid caste certificate.

For further information, growers may contact the Coffee Board's Central Office in Bengaluru or their nearest regional office. In Kodagu, assistance is available at the Deputy Director's Office (Extension Division) in Madikeri, the Extension Centres in Somwarpet and Ponnampet, as well as other Coffee Board regional offices. Growers in Chikkamagaluru can approach the Coffee Board Regional Office or the Regional Coffee Research Station for guidance and assistance.
